JCHS Student Presents Research at the International Non-Communicable Diseases Exhibition & Conference 2025

On 12th October 2025, it was a proud moment for JPMC College of Health Sciences (JCHS) as one of its students represented her group, which was a total of 11 members, presenting their research titled Facilitators and Barriers on Early Detection of Colorectal Cancer in Brunei Darussalam: A Qualitative Study at the International Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) Exhibition & Conference 2025.

The presentation showcased the group’s dedication to exploring critical healthcare issues relevant to Brunei’s public health landscape. Their research focused on identifying the key factors that influence early detection of colorectal cancer — one of the leading non-communicable diseases globally and highlighted the importance of awareness, screening accessibility, and community engagement in improving health outcomes.

Through their findings, the students aimed to contribute valuable insights that could support future health promotion strategies and enhance the effectiveness of early detection initiatives in the country.

This achievement reflects JCHS’s ongoing commitment to nurturing research-driven education and empowering students to engage in evidence-based practice. We are incredibly proud of our students for their hard work, dedication, and passion, a true reflection of their potential as future healthcare leaders.
