A Day at JCHS: Guiding the Next Generation of Nurses

At the JPMC College of Health Sciences (JCHS), “A Day at JCHS” is a recurring event that welcomes aspiring healthcare professionals to explore the life of a nursing student. Designed for future students and their families, the programme provides an engaging introduction to academic life and the opportunities offered at JCHS.

Visitors are given campus tours, opportunities to meet with faculty and current students, and insights into the college’s balance of academic excellence, practical training, and holistic student development. A highlight of the day is the demonstration of Body Interact on Smart TV—a virtual patient simulator that forms part of the nursing curriculum. JCHS is the first institution in Brunei to integrate this innovative learning tool, reflecting its commitment to providing students with advanced, technology-driven training experiences.

Each edition of “A Day at JCHS” continues to attract enthusiastic participation, with students and parents alike expressing keen interest in healthcare and the nursing profession. The programme fosters interactive and meaningful exchanges, making the experience both insightful and inspiring.

By making “A Day at JCHS” a regular feature, JCHS ensures that more opportunities will be available for the community to discover the unique environment, modern learning resources, and supportive guidance the college offers. Through this initiative, JCHS remains dedicated to shaping the next generation of competent and compassionate healthcare leaders.
