Jerudong Park Medical Centre (JPMC) proudly welcomed its third cohort of scholars under the JPMC Scholarship Program, further strengthening its commitment to developing Brunei’s future healthcare workforce.
The scholarship awarding ceremony was held on 10 July 2025, graced by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr. Haji Mohammad Isham bin Haji Jaafar, Minister of Health and Chairman & Executive Director of JPMC, together with members of the JPMC senior management team.
In her address, Ms. Bun Pei Ling, Chief Financial Officer of JPMC, highlighted the program’s alignment with Wawasan 2035, reaffirming JPMC’s dedication to nurturing local healthcare talent and investing in the next generation of professionals who will contribute to the nation’s health sector.
This year, the scholarship was awarded to five outstanding students: Azra Zawanah, Hannah Batrisyia, Nur Hidayah @ Syafiqah, and Nur Nazimah Aqilah, who will be pursuing the Foundation in Science program at JPMC College of Health Sciences, and Nur Aiman Al-Ain, who will be undertaking a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and later joining the JPMC nursing team.
Since its launch in 2023, the JPMC Scholarship Program has supported 18 scholars, playing a vital role in shaping Brunei’s healthcare future by providing opportunities for aspiring professionals to gain high-quality education and training.
JPMC extends its congratulations to the new scholars and looks forward to their contributions in advancing Brunei’s healthcare sector.
