Learning Beyond the Classroom: Quality & Patient Safety Seminar Strengthens Future Nurses

5th February 2026, JCHS BSN Level 2 and Level 3 students attended a Quality & Patient Safety seminar aimed at enhancing their understanding of building and sustaining a strong culture of safety in healthcare settings. The session provided students with valuable exposure beyond the classroom, allowing them to connect theoretical knowledge with real-world healthcare practices and challenges.

The seminar featured insightful sharing by Dr. Haji Azlan Haji Jaludin, NOSG Hajah Kamariah Haji Abdul Rahman, and SNSG Zainussubhi Haji Awang from the Ministry of Health, Quality Section – Quality & Patient Safety Unit. Through the speakers’ professional experiences and practical perspectives, students gained deeper awareness of their vital role in preventing errors, safeguarding patients, and delivering safe, high-quality care. The meaningful session reinforced the importance of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement as essential values for future nurses.
