On 6–7 May 2026, JPMC College of Health Sciences (JCHS) conducted a two-day Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Provider Training programme for 40 healthcare professionals from Jerudong Park Medical Centre.
The training aimed to strengthen participants’ competencies in responding to cardiac and respiratory emergencies through evidence-based learning, hands-on practical sessions, and collaborative simulation-based training. Throughout the programme, healthcare professionals enhanced their clinical readiness, decision-making skills, and confidence in managing critical emergency situations with professionalism and precision.
This initiative reflects JCHS’s continued commitment to advancing professional healthcare education and developing a highly skilled, resilient healthcare workforce in support of Brunei Darussalam’s Wawasan 2035 aspirations.
The insightful session encouraged meaningful discussions and practical learning surrounding mental health, highlighting the importance of breaking stigma, supporting one another, and cultivating a more compassionate and informed society. Students were given the opportunity to reflect on the challenges surrounding mental health awareness and the role individuals and communities can play in promoting understanding and support.
Organised by students and endorsed by the Office of Student Affairs and Services (OSAS) as the official WRP activity, the initiative reflects the empathy, leadership, and commitment of JCHS’s future healthcare professionals in advocating for holistic well-being both within and beyond the campus community.
