JCHS WRP Seminar Explores the Future of Nursing Through AI and Robotics

On 1 May 2026, JCHS students participated in an engaging Wellness and Recreation Programme (WRP) seminar titled “Care Rewired: Robotics, AI & The Human Connection,” which explored the future of nursing innovation and the growing role of technology in healthcare.

Organised by final year students and endorsed by the Office of Student Affairs and Services (OSAS), the seminar examined how robotics, artificial intelligence, and emerging healthcare technologies are reshaping modern nursing practice. Discussions focused on how these innovations can improve efficiency, enhance patient safety, support clinical decision-making, and expand access to quality care.

The session featured insightful talks by Chandra Devi Durairajoo and Chai Roslin, who shared their expertise on the evolving healthcare landscape and the importance of balancing technological advancement with compassionate, patient-centred care.

As healthcare continues to evolve, initiatives like this ensure that JCHS students are prepared not only to adapt to emerging technologies but also to preserve the human connection that remains at the heart of the nursing profession.
