On 17 April 2026, JCHS students came together for a Wellness and Recreation Programme (WRP) session titled “Behind Closed Doors , Breaking Mental Health Stigma in the Community,” aimed at raising awareness and fostering a deeper understanding of mental health within the Brunei community.
The insightful session encouraged meaningful discussions and practical learning surrounding mental health, highlighting the importance of breaking stigma, supporting one another, and cultivating a more compassionate and informed society. Students were given the opportunity to reflect on the challenges surrounding mental health awareness and the role individuals and communities can play in promoting understanding and support.
Organised by students and endorsed by the Office of Student Affairs and Services (OSAS) as the official WRP activity, the initiative reflects the empathy, leadership, and commitment of JCHS’s future healthcare professionals in advocating for holistic well-being both within and beyond the campus community.
