On 12 May 2026, JPMC College of Health Sciences (JCHS) announced a significant milestone in its pursuit of academic excellence, with its Bachelor of Science in Nursing programme being granted candidacy status for initial accreditation by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), effective 29 April 2026.
The achievement marks an important step in the college’s commitment to providing high-quality nursing education that aligns with internationally recognised standards. ACEN candidacy status acknowledges that the programme has met the requirements to begin the accreditation process, reflecting JCHS’ dedication to continuous quality improvement and educational excellence.
The recognition further reinforces the college’s mission to prepare competent, compassionate, and globally competitive nursing graduates who are equipped to meet the evolving needs of healthcare services in Brunei Darussalam and beyond.
JCHS expressed its appreciation to its students, faculty members, staff, and institutional partners whose collective dedication and commitment have contributed to this accomplishment. The college remains focused on progressing towards full ACEN accreditation while continuing to strengthen nursing education and support the development of future healthcare professionals.
This milestone represents another important chapter in JCHS’ ongoing efforts to enhance academic quality, foster international recognition, and contribute to the advancement of nursing education both nationally and internationally.
