On 15 May 2026, JPMC College of Health Sciences (JCHS) celebrated a significant academic milestone as eight groups of final-year Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) students successfully defended their final research studies, marking the culmination of months of dedication, collaboration, and scholarly inquiry.
The research defence provided students with the opportunity to present the findings of their studies before an academic panel, demonstrating their ability to apply evidence-based knowledge, critical thinking, and research methodologies to address contemporary issues in healthcare and nursing practice.
Each presentation reflected the students’ commitment to advancing nursing knowledge and improving patient care, showcasing innovative ideas and practical solutions aimed at enhancing healthcare outcomes. The successful defence also highlighted the students’ academic excellence, professionalism, and readiness to contribute meaningfully to the nursing profession.
Beyond fulfilling a programme requirement, the research defence represents an important milestone in the students’ educational journey, reinforcing the values of integrity, accountability, and lifelong learning that are essential to professional nursing practice.
