JCHS Students Empower STKRJ Mata Mata Community with Life-Saving Skills

On 10th April 2026, JCHS students stepped beyond the classroom to support academic lecturers in reskilling the STKRJ Mata Mata community, including the Ketua Kampong, with essential Basic Life Support (BLS) and First Aid skills.

Through this community initiative, participants were equipped with vital life-saving techniques, enabling them to respond more confidently and effectively during emergencies. JCHS students also actively assisted in facilitating the activities, guiding participants and supporting the hands-on training sessions, which fostered both awareness and practical competence among community members.

Organised by the JCHS Community Extension Committee headed by Dr. Nemencio Santos Jr., the programme reflects the institution’s ongoing commitment to serving and empowering the community while nurturing future nurses who are prepared to make meaningful contributions both on campus and beyond.

Together, the initiative reinforces a shared goal of building a safer and healthier community.
