JCHS WRP Session Prepares Students for the Realities of Clinical Practice

On 10th April 2026, JCHS organised a Wellness and Recreation Programme (WRP) activity titled “Nurturing Novice Nurses,” bringing students together to explore the realities of transitioning into clinical practice.

We invited Dr Karpagam Chakkaravarthy from Jerudong Park Medical Centre (JPMC) and Puan Siti Rajaah Binti Sayed Sultan from Gleneagles JPMC to .provide valuable insights into navigating real-world challenges in healthcare settings, while emphasising the importance of mentorship and strong support systems. It focused on building students’ confidence, resilience, and clinical competence as they prepare for their professional journey.

Endorsed by the Office of Student Affairs and Services (OSAS) and organised by dedicated final year students, this Nursing Education–themed initiative highlights the leadership, initiative, and passion within the JCHS community, reflecting its commitment to developing capable and future-ready nurses. We would like to thank Jerudong Park Medical Centre (JPMC) and Glenagles JPMC for their kind presence and contribution to the event.
