JCHS WRP Seminar Showcases Diverse Career Pathways in Nursing

On 8 May 2026, JPMC College of Health Sciences (JCHS) final year students successfully hosted the Wellness and Recreation Programme (WRP) seminar titled “Borderless Opportunities: Exploring the Different Career Pathways in Nursing,” endorsed by the Office of Student Affairs and Services (OSAS) as the official WRP activity.

The seminar provided students with the opportunity to explore the many diverse and exciting career pathways available within the nursing profession beyond traditional clinical roles. Through engaging discussions and real-world insights, participants were encouraged to broaden their understanding of the versatility and potential of nursing as a dynamic profession.

Students gained valuable perspectives from distinguished guest speakers, including SSGT Haji Najib bin Haji Ibrahim, LT. Dr Wan Nurul Naszeerah, Hjh Armah bte Tengah, and Nina Keehan. Their sharing sessions offered firsthand insights into military nursing, nursing education, and international nursing opportunities, including pathways in the United States.

The seminar inspired students to confidently plan for their future careers while recognising the broad opportunities available within the profession. JCHS extends its appreciation to all speakers, organisers, and participants for contributing to the success of this meaningful and enriching event.
