JCHS Seminar Strengthens Patient Safety Awareness in Clinical Nursing Practice

On 3rd April 2026, JCHS organised a Wellness and Recreation Programme (WRP) seminar titled “Stop, Spot, Safe: No ‘Oops’, Just Safe, Enhancing Patient Safety in Clinical Nursing Practice,” held at the Multi Purpose Room (MPR).

The session provided students with a deeper understanding of the International Patient Safety Goals (IPSG) and their application in real clinical settings. Key topics included safe communication, medication safety, and infection prevention, highlighting the critical role nurses play in safeguarding patient well-being.

The seminar was further enriched by the presence of distinguished speakers, Dr Nurul Adhwa binti Haji Abd Rahman and Awang Haji Khairul Anam bin Awang Su’ut, who shared their expertise and real-world perspectives with students.

The programme also emphasised the importance of teamwork, accountability, and shared responsibility in delivering safe and effective care, core competencies essential for every nursing professional.

Through initiatives like this, JCHS continues to equip its students with the knowledge and practical skills needed to practise safely, confidently, and professionally in the healthcare field.
